Parashat Lech-Lecha

This weeks Torah Portion is Genesis 12:1 – 17:27

When we receive a promise or calling from God we start our journey of obedience to listen and live our lives according to this calling. Our first step into the direction of this calling is to change our vision and mindset to allow our hearts to grow in faith so that we walk into these promises of God. When we start to see the image of God in our lives we can start to produce His promises.

God blesses Abraham, the father of our faith, with these words: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” What did Abraham do to be blessed by the Creator of the universe with these wonderful words and how can we order our steps in such a way that the same blessing will be bestowed upon us
