Parashat Korach

This weeks Torah Portion is Numbers 16:1 – 18:32

The Kingdom of God is not a democracy where we are the ones that can make the choices. He is the King and this is His Kingdom. When He speaks we need to obey. When we make decisions we have to hear what is on God’s heart so that we can make the right choices. We will be held accountable before God for the choices that we have made and thus we have to make sure that what we do and the way that we walk before Him is according to His will.

This weeks Apostolic Writings is Romans 13:1-7

God expects of us to not be rebellious, but to rather subject ourselves to the governing authorities in our countries, cities, towns and also the spiritual leaders in our churches or fellowship groups. It is so important that we understand that rebellion is never an option and has immense consequences. Yeshua also submitted to the Roman authorities and we see that He upheld the laws of the country as well.
