Parashat Beshalach

This weeks Torah Portion is Exodus 13:17 – 17:16

God takes us out of our captivity and leads us towards our promised land. During our journey from bondage to victory God takes us through a process of cleansing. He helps us overcome the bondage in our hearts and minds so that we can become overcomers. We have to allow Him to change our mindsets so that we can think of heavenly thoughts and drink of the promises of His word instead of being focused on the enemy and his pursuit after us.

This weeks Apostolic Writings is John 6:15-71; 1 Corinthians 10:1-5

When we get baptized, we leave the world and the darkness behind us, we leave Pharao’s territory (which is Satan’s territory) and enter into God’s Kingdom, His territory, His light and His life. This means that we need to lay down our slave mentality and consciously decide to accept God’s water and food and His Authority.
