In English we often refer to a Tallit as a ‘prayer shawl’, something to wrap around yourself when you pray. Is that the main function of a Tallit, or are we missing something important? Each Tallit consists of 4 parts and each part has a special meaning. The cloth itself, the crown, the four corners and the four tassels have been chosen by the Jews because of the deeper meanings behind them. What does the Bible say? Is there even an instruction about this very special Biblical Element and could it be that Yeshua Himself was aware of this?
