Parashat Vayigash

This weeks Torah Portion is Genesis 44:18 – 47:27

God will make His promises true – you cannot move beyond who you are if you do not realize there is a bigger plan for you and everybody else. God’s plan is revealed through us when we are willing to endure even through the harder circumstances. When we focus on where we are going instead of where we are standing we are able to endure. 

This weeks Apostolic Writings is Ephesians 2:1-10

Finally, Joseph reveals himself to his brothers! Finally, he reveals his heart to them! He is not judgemental; he doesn’t seek vengeance. He knows that it was God plan so that they may be saved. Joseph is a shadow and type of the Messiah, who is Yeshua. Are there similarities? Did God allow something to happen to His own people so that the world may be saved? None of us can boast because we are saved. It is by grace through faith and not by works.
